بَلَىٰٓ إِنَّ رَبَّهُۥ كَانَ بِهِۦ بَصِيرًۭا

But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.

    And His statement: ( بَلَى — "Yes indeed"). The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says: Yes indeed, he will surely return and surely come back to his Lord, alive as he was before his death.

    And His statement: ( إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيرًا — "Verily, his Lord was ever Seeing of him"). The Exalted, whose praise is great, says: Verily, the Lord of this one who supposed that he would not return was ever Seeing of him when he was in the worldly life — with respect to the sins he committed therein, and with respect to that to which his affair would come in the Hereafter; He is Knowing of all of that.

    وقوله: ( بَلَى ) يقول تعالى ذكره: بلى لَيَحُورَنَّ وَلَيَرْجِعَنّ إلى ربه حيا كما كان قبل مماته. وقوله: ( إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيرًا ) يقول جلّ ثناؤه: إن ربّ هذا الذي ظن أن لن يحور، كان به بصيرا، إذ هو في الدنيا بما كان يعمل فيها من المعاصي، وما إليه يصير أمره في الآخرة، عالم بذلك كلِّه.
