But the righteous one will avoid it -

His statement: وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الأشْقَى ("And the most wretched will be kept away from it") means: and the God-fearing one (al-taqī) will be protected from the burning of the Fire that blazes. Here the afʿal-form (the superlative "the most wretched") is placed in the position of the faʿīl-form, as Ṭarafa said:
Men wished that I would die, and if I die,
then that is a road on which I am not the only one (1).
