أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عَيْنَيْنِ

Have We not made for him two eyes?

    The statement concerning the interpretation of His word, the Exalted: أَلَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ عَيْنَيْنِ ("Have We not made for him two eyes?") (8)

    He — the Exalted, He whose praise is mentioned — says: Have We not made for this speaker who says أَهْلَكْتُ مَالا لُبَدًا ("I have squandered abundant wealth") two eyes with which he beholds the proofs of Allah against him, and a tongue with which he expresses concerning himself what he wills, and two lips — as a favor from Us to him thereby?

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : أَلَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ عَيْنَيْنِ (8) يقول تعالى ذكره: ألم نجعل لهذا القائل أَهْلَكْتُ مَالا لُبَدًا عينين يبصر بهما حجج الله عليه، ولسانا يعبر به عن نفسه ما أراد، وشفتين، نعمة منا بذلك عليه.
