Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?

His statement: a-yaḥsabu an lan yaqdira ʿalayhi aḥad (Does he think that no one has power over him?). It has been mentioned that this was revealed concerning a certain man of the Banū Jumaḥ, who was called Abū l-Ashadd and who was strong. He, exalted be His praise, said: does this strong man, with his strength and his power, think that no one will overpower him and overcome him? But Allah is the One who overpowers him and overcomes him.
