وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ

[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

    The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, Exalted is He: وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ (Faces on that Day will be joyful) (88:8).

    He, exalted is His remembrance, says: ( وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ ) (Faces on that Day) — by which He means: the Day of Resurrection — ( نَاعِمَةٌ ) (joyful), by which He says: they are joyful through the grace with which Allah favors their people in His gardens; and they are the people of faith in Allah (īmān).

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ (8) يقول تعالى ذكره: ( وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ ) يعني: يوم القيامة ( نَاعِمَةٌ ) يقول: هي ناعمة بتنعيم الله أهلها في جناته، وهم أهل الإيمان بالله.
