فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ

So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

    Explanation of the statement of the Exalted: فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ (21) ("So remind; you are only a reminder")

    The Exalted, whose mention is high, says to His Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ: فَذَكِّرْ ("so remind") — O Muḥammad, My servants with My signs, and warn them with My proofs, and convey to them My message. إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ("you are only a reminder") says: I have sent you to them only as a reminder, that you may remind them of My favor toward them, make known to them what is obligatory upon them, and warn them.

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ (21) يقول تعالى ذكره لنبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: ( فَذَكِّرْ ) يا محمد عبادي بآياتي، وعظهم بحججي وبلِّغهم رسالتي ( إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ) يقول: إنما أرسلتك إليهم مذكرا لتذكرهم نعمتي عندهم، وتعرّفهم اللازم لهم، وتعظهم.
