And caused to grow within it grain

The statement فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا ("And We caused grain to grow therein") means: the grain of the crops, and that is everything which the earth brings forth in the way of seed-kernels, such as wheat and barley and the like.
