( فِي صُحُفٍ ) ("On scrolls"). He says: it is an admonition ( فِي صُحُفٍ مُكَرَّمَةٍ * مَرْفُوعَةٍ مُطَهَّرَةٍ ) ("on honored scrolls, exalted and purified"). By this is meant: on the well-preserved Tablet (al-lawḥ al-maḥfūẓ), and that is the exalted and purified one with Allah.
