فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ

Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.

    ( فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى ) — "Then indeed the Garden is his abode." He says: Then indeed the Garden (janna) is his abode and his dwelling on the Day of Resurrection.

    We have already mentioned earlier the statements of the people of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl) concerning the meaning of His word وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ ("And for him who fears the standing before his Lord"), in a manner that dispenses with repeating it in this place.

    ( فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى ) يقول: فإن الجنة هي مأواه ومنـزله يوم القيامة. وقد ذكرنا أقوال أهل التأويل في معنى قوله: وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ فيما مضى بما أغنى عن إعادته في هذا الموضع.
