أَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى ("Is He then not able to bring the dead to life?"). Allah, exalted is His mention, says: Is He who did that — who created this human being from a drop, then from a clot of blood, until He made him into a well-formed human being, with male and female offspring — not able to bring the dead to life out of their death and to bring them back into existence as they were before their death? He says: it is known that He who was able to create the human being from a drop of sperm that was emitted, until He made him into a well-formed human being — for Him the bringing to life of a dead person after his death is not impossible. And when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited this, he used to say: "Yes indeed."
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His saying: أَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى : it has been related to us that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, when he recited this, used to say: "Glory be to You, yes indeed (subḥānaka wa-balā)."
