And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?"

He, exalted is His mention, says: The matter is not as these polytheists (mushrikīn) suppose, namely that they will not be punished for their shirk and their disobedience to their Lord; rather, when the soul of one of them, at his death, reaches the collarbones (al-tarāqī) and rattles in his throat.
And Ibn Zayd said concerning the word of Allah: kallā idhā balaghati al-tarāqiya ("Nay, when it reaches the collarbones"), he said: al-tarāqī is his soul.
