And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse

The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا ("And Allah has made the earth for you as an outspread expanse").
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says this while informing about the saying of Nūḥ to his people, reminding them of the favors of his Lord: (وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأرْضَ بِسَاطًا) "And Allah has made the earth for you as an outspread expanse," upon which you settle yourselves and which you take as a resting place.
