And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.

The explanation of His word, the Exalted: وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا ( and He will reinforce you with possessions and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers )
His word: ( and He will reinforce you with possessions and sons ) He says: and your Lord will thereby give you possessions and sons, and multiply and increase for you what you already possess of them ( and make for you gardens ) He says: He will provide you with orchards ( and make for you rivers ) from which you irrigate your gardens and your fields. This is what Nūḥ said to them, because they were — as is reported — a people who loved possessions and children.

Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His word: Then I called them openly ... up to His word: ( and make for you rivers ) he said: Nūḥ saw a people whose necks were stretched out in craving for the worldly life, and he said: come to the obedience of Allah, for therein lies the attainment of the worldly life and the Hereafter.
