Tafseer of The Ascending Stairways · Al-Ma'aarij · 70:7

وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبًۭا

But We see it [as] near.

    Then He said: they regard it as something that will not occur, while We see it as near, because it [truly] will happen; and everything that is coming is near.

    And the hāʾ and the mīm in His statement إِنَّهُمْ ("verily, they") refer to the unbelievers (al-kāfirīn), and the hāʾ in His statement يَرَوْنَهُ ("they see it") refers to the punishment (al-ʿadhāb).
