On the Day the sky will be like murky oil,

His words: يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ ("On the Day that the heaven shall be like molten metal").
He, exalted is His mention, says: on the Day that the heaven shall be like the molten thing. I have already set forth the meaning of al-muhl earlier, together with the evidences for it and with the differing views of those who disagree about it, and I have mentioned what the early generations (al-salaf) said concerning it; that makes it unnecessary to repeat it in this place.
