My wealth has not availed me.

He, exalted is His mention, says, reporting about the saying of the one to whom his book is given in his left hand: مَا أَغْنَى عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ("My wealth has not availed me"). He means that his wealth, which he used to possess in the worldly life, averted nothing of the punishment (ʿadhāb) of Allah from him.
