Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.

Ibn al-Muthannā related to us, saying: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar related to us, saying: Shuʿba related to us, on the authority of Abū Isḥāq, who said: I heard al-Barāʾ say concerning this verse: قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ ("Its clusters of fruit are near at hand") (69:23). He said: the man takes of its fruits while he is lying down asleep.
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His statement: قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ ("Its clusters of fruit are near at hand"): they have come near, so that neither does anything keep their hands away from it thereafter, nor are there [any] thorns.
