The discourse on the explanation of His statement, the Exalted: فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ (19) ("As for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Here, read my book (19)").

As Yūnus ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to me, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Ibn Zayd said concerning the statement of Allah هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ ("Here, read my book"), he said: (hāʾumu means) "come here".

Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, he said: some of the scholars said: I have found the most sagacious of people to be the one who said: هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ ("Here, read my book").
