إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ

That indeed for you is whatever you choose?

    His statement: إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ ("Indeed, therein you have whatever you choose"). He, exalted is His praise, says: indeed, in that you have whatever you choose for yourselves from among the matters. This is a command from Allah, a rebuke to this people, and a reproach to them for the falsehood that they used to utter and the lying desires that they used to harbor.

    وقوله: ( إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ ) يقول جلّ ثناؤه: إن لكم في ذلك الذي تخيرون من الأمور لأنفسكم، وهذا أمر من الله، توبيخ لهؤلاء القوم وتقريع لهم فيما كانوا يقولون من الباطل، ويتمنون من الأمانيّ الكاذبة.
