فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ

Then they approached one another, blaming each other.

    His statement: فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَلاوَمُونَ (Then they turned to one another, blaming each other) (68:30). The Exalted, whose praise is sublime, says: then they turned to one another, and each one blamed the other for their negligence in that wherein they had fallen short, namely the making of the exception (by saying "if Allah wills"), and for their resolve upon that which they had determined, that is, the refraining from feeding the poor from their garden.

    وقوله: (فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَلاوَمُونَ ) يقول جلّ ثناؤه: فأقبل بعضهم على بعض يلوم بعضهم بعضا على تفريطهم فيما فرّطوا فيه من الاستثناء، وعزمهم على ما كانوا عليه من ترك إطعام المساكين من جنتهم.
