The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, the Exalted: يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا أَحْصَاهُ اللَّهُ وَنَسُوهُ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ (6) (The Day when Allah will resurrect them all and inform them of what they did. Allah has recorded it while they have forgotten it. And Allah is Witness over all things).

He, exalted is His mention, says: and for the unbelievers (kāfir) there is a humiliating punishment (ʿadhāb) on the Day when Allah will resurrect them all, and that is يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللَّهُ جَمِيعًا (the Day when Allah will resurrect them all) from their graves to the standing-place of the Resurrection, فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ (and He will inform them), namely Allah, بِمَا عَمِلُوا أَحْصَاهُ اللَّهُ وَنَسُوهُ (of what they did; Allah has recorded it while they have forgotten it). He, exalted is His mention, says: Allah has recorded what they did, and has counted it against them, and has fixed it and preserved it, while those who committed it have forgotten it. وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ (And Allah is Witness over all things). He says: وَاللَّهُ (And Allah), exalted is His praise, عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ (over all things) that they have done, and over the rest of the affairs of His creation, شَهِيدٌ (is Witness), that is to say: a Witness who knows it and encompasses it, so that nothing of it escapes Him.
