Tafseer of The Pleading Woman · Al-Mujaadila · 58:18
On the Day Allah will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something. Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars.

The explanation of the words of the Exalted: "On the Day when Allah will raise them all up, then they will swear to Him just as they swear to you, and they suppose that they have something [to stand upon]. Truly, they are the liars." (58:18)
The Exalted, whose praise is sublime, says: these whom He has mentioned, they are the inhabitants of the Fire on the Day when Allah will raise them all up — so "yawm" (Day) is connected with "the inhabitants of the Fire." And by His word "On the Day when Allah will raise them all up" is meant: from their graves, alive, in the same form as before their death, then they will swear to Him just as they swear to you, lyingly and falsely therein.
As Ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to us, saying: Ibn Thawr related to us, on the authority of Maʿmar, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His word: "then they will swear to Him," he said: truly, the hypocrite will swear to Him on the Day of Resurrection just as he swore to his allies in this world.
Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His word: "On the Day when Allah will raise them all up" ... the verse: by Allah, the hypocrites will swear to their Lord on the Day of Resurrection just as they swore to His allies in this world.
Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, saying: Mihrān related to us, on the authority of Sufyān, on the authority of Simāk ibn Ḥarb al-Bakrī, on the authority of Saʿīd ibn Jubayr, who said: the Prophet ﷺ was in the shade of a room, and the shade had nearly begun to withdraw from him. He said: "Truly, a man will come to you, or a man will appear, with the eye of a devil; so do not speak with him." It was not long before he came, and he appeared, and behold, he was a blue-eyed man. He ﷺ said to him: "Why do you revile me, you and so-and-so and so-and-so?" He said: then he went off and called his companions, and they swore that they had not done [it], whereupon was sent down: "On the Day when Allah will raise them all up, then they will swear to Him just as they swear to you, and they suppose that they have something [to stand upon]. Truly, they are the liars."
And His word: "and they suppose that they have something [to stand upon]," He says: and they think that in their oaths and in their swearing by Allah — while they lie — they have something of the truth. "Truly, they are the liars" in that concerning which they swear.
