Only a saying: "Peace, peace."

And His statement: إِلا قِيلا سَلامًا سَلامًا ("except the saying: Peace, peace"). He says: therein they hear of spoken words nothing but the saying "peace": that is, you are safe from what you abhor.
As for the accusative form (naṣb) of His statement سَلامًا سَلامًا ("Peace, peace"), there are two possibilities. If you wish, you may make it an appositive (tābiʿ) to qīl (the saying); in that case the "peace" is identical to the saying, as though it were said: therein they hear no idle talk nor sinful speech, except "peace, peace" — that is, but they hear "peace, peace." And the second possibility: that its accusative arises from the saying (qīl) falling upon it; the meaning in that case is: except the saying of peace (qīla salāmin). When it is then read with nunation, His statement سَلامًا سَلامًا ("Peace, peace") is in the accusative because qīl falls upon it.
