In them are good and beautiful women -

And His word: فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("Therein are good, beautiful women") — the Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: in these four gardens — two of which are appointed for whoever fears the station of his Lord, and the other two, lower than those two, the two dark-green gardens — there are women good of character and beautiful of face.
As Bishr related to us, he said: Yazīd related to us, he said: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("Therein are good, beautiful women"), he says: in these gardens are women good of character and beautiful of face.
Ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to us, he said: Ibn Thawr related to us, on the authority of Maʿmar, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His word: خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("good, beautiful women"), he said: good of character, beautiful of face.
Yūnus related to me, he said: Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: Ibn Zayd said, concerning His word: فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("Therein are good, beautiful women"), he said: the good, beautiful women are the wide-eyed houris (al-ḥūr al-ʿīn).
Ibn Bashshār related to us, he said: Muḥammad ibn Marwān related to us, he said: Abū al-ʿAwwām related to us, on the authority of Qatāda: فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("Therein are good, beautiful women"), he said: good of character, beautiful of face.
Abū Hishām related to us, he said: Wakīʿ related to us, on the authority of Sufyān, on the authority of Jābir, on the authority of al-Qāsim ibn Abī Bazza, on the authority of Abū ʿUbayd, on the authority of Masrūq, on the authority of ʿAbdallāh: فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("Therein are good, beautiful women"), he said: in every tent there is a wife.
Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Wahb related to us, he said: Muḥammad ibn al-Faraj al-Ṣadafī al-Dimyāṭī related to us, on the authority of ʿAmr ibn Hāshim, on the authority of Ibn Abī Karīma, on the authority of Hishām ibn Ḥassān, on the authority of al-Ḥasan, on the authority of his mother, on the authority of Umm Salama, who said: "I said: O Messenger of Allah, tell me about His word: فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ ("Therein are good, beautiful women"). He said: 'Good of character, beautiful of face.'"
