ثُمَّ يُجْزَىٰهُ ٱلْجَزَآءَ ٱلْأَوْفَىٰ

Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense

    And His statement ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الأوْفَى ("Then he will be recompensed for it with the most complete recompense"). The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, says: Then he will be rewarded for that effort of his with the most complete reward. The Exalted, whose praise is exalted, said الأوْفَى ("the most complete") only because it is the most complete reward that He has promised His creatures for it. And the "hā" [the pronoun] in His statement ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ ("then he will be recompensed for it") refers to the [aforementioned] effort (saʿy), and it is to this that it reverts.

    وقوله ( ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الأوْفَى ) يقول تعالى ذكره: ثم يُثاب بسعيه ذلك الثواب الأوفى. وإنما قال جل ثناؤه ( الأوْفَى ) لأنه أوفى ما وعد خلقه عليه من الجزاء, والهاء في قوله ( ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ ) من ذكر السعي, وعليه عادت.
