The statement concerning the explanation of His exalted word: So leave them to babble on and play until they meet their Day which they have been promised (83).

He, exalted is His mention, says: So leave, O Muḥammad, these who invent lies against Allah — who claim that He has a child — to babble on in their falsehood and to play in their worldly life ( until they meet their Day which they have been promised ); and that is the Day on which Allah will cause them to burn in Hell (jahannam) for their fabrication against Him, and that is the Day of Resurrection.

As Muḥammad related to us, he said: Aḥmad related to us, he said: Asbāṭ related to us, on the authority of al-Suddī ( until they meet their Day which they have been promised ), he said: the Day of Resurrection.
