Tafseer of The Forgiver · Ghafir · 40:62

ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

That is Allah, your Lord, Creator of all things; there is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?

    The explanation of the saying of the Exalted: Dat is Allah, jullie Heer, de Schepper van alle dingen. Er is geen god dan Hij. Hoe worden jullie dan afgewend? (40:62)

    The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says: The One who has performed these deeds and bestowed upon you these favors, O people, is Allah, your Possessor and the One who sets your affairs in order; and He is your Creator and the Creator of all things. ( There is no god but He ) He says: there is no worshipped being to whom worship rightfully belongs other than Him. ( How are you then turned away? ) He says: which direction do you then take, and whither do you go away from Him, so that you worship something other than Him?

    القول في تأويل قوله تعالى : ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ (62) يقول تعالى ذكره: الذي فعل هذه الأفعال, وأنعم عليكم هذه النعم أيها الناس, الله مالككم ومصلح أموركم, وهو خالقكم وخالق كلّ شيء ( لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ ) يقول: لا معبود تصلح له العبادة غيره,( فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ ) يقول: فأي وجه تأخذون, وإلى أين تذهبون عنه, فتعبدون سواه؟.
