But they who believe in Allah and His messengers and do not discriminate between any of them - to those He is going to give their rewards. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

The explanation of the words of the Exalted: (4:152) (And those who believe in Allah and His messengers and make no distinction between any of them—to them He will give their rewards. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.)

Abū Jaʿfar said: He, whose praise is exalted, means by this: And those who held the oneness of Allah to be true and acknowledged the prophethood of all His messengers together, and held them to be truthful in what they brought to them from Allah of the ordinances of His religion—"and make no distinction between any of them," He says: and they did not declare a part of them to be liars while holding another part to be truthful, but rather they acknowledged that everything they brought from their Lord is truth—"those," He says: these who possess this quality, of those who believe in Allah and His messengers—"He will give," He says: He will grant—"their rewards," that is: their recompense and their reward for their holding the messengers to be truthful concerning the oneness of Allah and the ordinances of His religion, and what they brought from Allah—"and Allah is Forgiving," He says: and He forgives whoever among His creatures does that, for what preceded him of past sins, so that He covers it for him by His remission of it and by His refraining from punishing him for it; for He has ever been Forgiving of the sins of those among His creatures who turn to Him in repentance—"Merciful," that is: and He has ever been Merciful toward them, through His favor to them in guiding them to the path of truth, and His leading them to that wherein lies the deliverance of their necks from the Fire (al-nār).
