Tafseer of The letter Saad · Saad · 38:72

فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."

    His statement Fa-idhā sawwaytuhu wa-nafakhtu fīhi min rūḥī ("And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit") — the Exalted, whose praise is worthy of remembrance, says: and when I have completed his creation, made his form upright, and breathed into him of My spirit. It has been said: by this is meant: and breathed into him of My power.

    It was related to me on the authority of al-Musayyab ibn Sharīk, on the authority of Abū Rawq, on the authority of al-Ḍaḥḥāk: Wa-nafakhtu fīhi min rūḥī ("and breathed into him of My spirit") — he said: of My power.

    Fa-qaʿū lahu sājidīn ("then fall down before him in prostration") — He says: then bow down before him and fall down before him in prostration.

    وقوله ( فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِي ) يقول تعالى ذكره: فإذا سويت خلقه, وعدلت صورته, ونفخت فيه من روحي, قيل: عني بذلك: ونفخت فيه من قُدرتي. * ذكر من قال ذلك: حُدثت عن المسيب بن شريك, عن أبي روق, عن الضحاك ( وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِي ) قال: من قدرتي. ( فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ ) يقول: فاسجدوا له وخِرّوا له سُجَّدا.
