The explanation of the word of the Exalted: qul innamā anā mundhirun wa-mā min ilāhin illā llāhu l-wāḥidu l-qahhār ("Say: 'I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Overpowering'") (65)

The Exalted, whose remembrance is exalted, says to His Prophet Muḥammad — may Allah bless him and grant him peace —: qul ("say"), O Muḥammad, to the polytheists of your people. innamā anā mundhir ("I am only a warner") for you, O assembly of the Quraysh, of a severe punishment; I warn you of the punishment of Allah and His wrath, that it will descend upon you because of your disbelief in Him; so be on your guard against it and hasten to forestall it with repentance. wa-mā min ilāhin illā llāhu l-wāḥidu l-qahhār ("and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Overpowering"): he says: and there is no worshipped being to whom worship is due and to whom Lordship is fitting, except Allah, to whom everything submits and who is worshipped by every creature; the One, to whom it is not fitting that He should have a partner in His sovereignty, and to whom it is not fitting that He should have a consort; the Overpowering of all that is beneath Him by His might; the Lord of the heavens and the earth — he says: the Possessor of the heavens and the earth and the creatures that are between them. He says: this One, who has this description, is the God beside whom there is no god; not the one who possesses nothing, causes no harm, and brings no benefit.
