وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ("And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds") — He, exalted is His mention, says: and all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the two classes of creatures (al-thaqalān), the jinn and mankind, wholly and exclusively His, to the exclusion of everything else; for every favor that befalls His servants comes from Him. So praise is purely His, He has no partner, just as He has no partner in His favors to them; rather, these are all from Him and from with Him.
