Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.

( Awa-laysa lladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa bi-qādirin ʿalā an yakhluqa mithlahum ) "Is He who created the heavens and the earth not able to create their like?" — the Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says, while pointing out to this unbeliever, who said "who gives life to the bones when they have decayed?", the falsity of his statement and the magnitude of his ignorance: ( awa-laysa lladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti ) "Is He who created the heavens" — the seven — ( wa-l-arḍa bi-qādirin ʿalā an yakhluqa ) "and the earth, not able to create" your like? For the creation of your like out of decayed bones is not more tremendous than the creation of the heavens and the earth. He says: He for whom the creation of what is more tremendous than your creation is not impossible, how then could the giving of life to the bones be impossible for Him, after they have decayed and worn away? And His statement ( balā wa-huwa l-khallāqu l-ʿalīm ) "Yes indeed, and He is the Constant Creator, the All-Knowing" — He says: yes indeed, He is able to create their like, and He is the Creator of whatever He wills, the Doer of whatever He intends, the All-Knowing concerning all that He has created and will create; nothing hidden remains concealed from Him.
