And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.

The statement concerning the explanation of His saying, the Exalted: وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَلا يَحْزُنْكَ كُفْرُهُ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ (23) (And whoever disbelieves, let his disbelief (kufr) not grieve you. To Us is their return, and then We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is fully aware of what the hearts conceal (31:23)).
He, exalted is His mention, says: And whoever disbelieves in Allah, let his disbelief (kufr) not grieve you, and do not consume your soul in regret over them, for their return and their final destination on the Day of Resurrection is to Us, and We shall give them tidings of their contemptible deeds which they performed in the worldly life, and then requite them for it. (Indeed, Allah is fully aware of what the hearts conceal) — he says: indeed, Allah possesses knowledge of what their breasts conceal of disbelief in Allah and of preferring obedience to Satan.
