The explanation of the statement of the Exalted: كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ (30:59) ("Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know" (30:59)).
The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know the truth of what you bring to them, O Muḥammad ﷺ, from Allah of these lessons and admonitions and clear signs. Thus they comprehend from Allah no proof whatsoever, nor do they grasp from Him what is recited to them of the verses of His Book. For that reason they wander to and fro in their bewilderment.
