The statement concerning the explanation of His word, the Exalted: فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ (17) ("So glorify Allah when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning.")
Allah, whose praise is exalted, says: So glorify Allah, O people — that is to say: perform the prayer (ṣalāh) for Him — حِينَ تُمْسُونَ ("when you enter the evening"), and that is the prayer of sunset (al-maghrib); وَحِينَ تُصْبَحُونَ ("and when you enter the morning"), and that is the morning prayer (al-ṣubḥ).
