Tafseer of The Romans · Ar-Room · 30:13
And there will not be for them among their [alleged] partners any intercessors, and they will [then] be disbelievers in their partners.

And His word: وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِهِمْ شُفَعَاءُ (And they will have no intercessors among their associate-partners). The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ (And on the Day that the Hour comes to pass) these criminals, whose characteristic the Exalted, whose praise is exalted, has described, will have no intercessors مِن شُرَكَائِهِمْ (among their associate-partners) — those who used to follow them in that to which they called them of error, and who shared with them in disbelief in Allah and in cooperating in inflicting harm upon His messengers — شُفَعَاءُ (intercessors), who would intercede for them with Allah and thereby save them from His punishment.
وَكَانُوا بِشُرَكَائِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ (and they will reject their associate-partners). He says: and they will, against the allies of Allah, reject كَافِرِينَ their associate-partners in error and in cooperation during the life of this world: they will deny their connection with them and dissociate themselves from them, as the Exalted, whose praise is exalted, has said: إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأَسْبَابُ * وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوا مِنَّا (When those who were followed dissociate themselves from those who followed, and they see the punishment, and the bonds between them are severed. And those who followed will say: "If only there were for us a return, so that we might dissociate ourselves from them as they have dissociated themselves from us.")
