The explanation of His word: وَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ (131) ("And guard yourselves against the Fire that is prepared for the unbelievers.") (3:131)
Abū Jaʿfar said: He, exalted be His mention, says to the believers: And guard yourselves, O believers, against the Fire — lest you enter it through your consuming usury (ribā) after I have forbidden it to you — which I have prepared for whoever disbelieves in Me, so that you do not enter their entrance after your faith in Me, by your transgressing against My command and your neglecting My obedience. Just as:
7828 — Ibn Ḥumayd related to us, saying: Salama related to us, on the authority of Ibn Isḥāq: "And guard yourselves against the Fire that is prepared for the unbelievers," which I have made an abode for whoever disbelieves in Me.
-------------------- Footnotes: (79) In the printed edition it reads "madākhilahum" (in the plural), but I have adopted what is in the manuscript ["madkhalahum", in the singular]. (80) The narration 7828 — Sīrat Ibn Hishām 3: 115, a continuation of the narrations the last of which is 7827.
