And [mention] the Day He will call them and say, "What did you answer the messengers?"

The statement concerning the interpretation of His word, the Exalted: وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ("And on the Day when He calls to them and says: 'What did you answer the messengers?'") (65)
Allah, exalted is His mention, says: and on the Day when Allah calls to these polytheists (mushrikīn) and says to them: ( مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ) ("What did you answer the messengers?") concerning that with which We sent them to you, namely your call to profess Our oneness and to declare yourselves free of the idol-images and the idols.
