When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.

And His word: إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ — Those who went astray say to those whom they used to worship besides Allah: By Allah, truly we were in clear error, straying from the Truth, when we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds and thus worshipped you besides Him.
And in the same vein as what we have said about this, spoke the people of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl).

Yūnus related to me, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Ibn Zayd said concerning His word إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ : he said: [that was addressed] to those gods.
