[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"

The Exalted says in His remembrance: Moses said to Pharaoh, after he had made Him known to him as his Lord and had informed him that He is the Lord of the east and the west, and had called him to His worship and to devoting the divinity sincerely to Him, and after Pharaoh had answered him with his words "If you take a god other than me, I will surely count you among the prisoners": Will you then count me among the prisoners? أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ (even when I bring you a clear proof) that proves the truth of what I say, O Pharaoh, and the reality of that to which I call you? He said this to him because it is among the customs of people that they become calm at fairness and accept the truth after the proof has been established.
