And say, 'My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to accommodate [us].' "

Allah, the Exalted, says to His prophet Nūḥ, peace be upon him: And say, when Allah has rescued you and brought you out of the ship and you have descended from it: رَبِّ أَنْـزِلْنِي مُنْـزَلا (My Lord, cause me to descend at a landing-place) upon the earth — مُبَارَكًا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ (a blessed one, and You are the best) of those who cause Your servants to descend at landing-places.
And in accordance with what we have said concerning this, the scholars of tafsīr spoke.
Mention of those who said this:
Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr related to me; he said: Abū ʿĀṣim related to us; he said: ʿĪsā related to us. And al-Ḥārith related to me; he said: al-Ḥasan related to us; he said: Warqāʾ related to us — all on the authority of Ibn Abī Najīḥ, on the authority of Mujāhid, concerning the word: مُنْـزَلا مُبَارَكًا — he said: for Nūḥ, when he descended from the ship.
Al-Qāsim related to us; he said: al-Ḥusayn related to us; he said: Ḥajjāj related to me, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, on the authority of Mujāhid — the same.
The reciters differed over the reading of this. The majority of the reciters of the great cities read: رَبِّ أَنْـزِلْنِي مُنْـزَلا مُبَارَكًا with a ḍamma on the mīm and a fatḥa on the zāʾ, with the meaning: cause me to descend in a blessed manner of descending. And ʿĀṣim read it: مُنْـزَلا with a fatḥa on the mīm and a kasra on the zāʾ, with the meaning: cause me to descend at a blessed place and location.
