قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا۠ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ

He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.

    Allah, exalted is His praise, says: Ibrāhīm said to them: Rather, I have come to you with the Truth — not with jest — your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth Who created them, and I am, concerning that fact that your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth Who fashioned them — apart from the idols beside which you abide and apart from all that is besides Him — one of the witnesses. He says: So worship Him and not these idols, which are His creation and which neither harm nor benefit.

    يقول تعالى ذكره: قال إبراهيم لهم: بل جئتكم بالحق لا اللعب، ربكم ربّ السماوات والأرض الذي خلقهنّ، وأنا على ذلكم من أن ربكم هو ربّ السماوات والأرض الذي فطرهنّ، دون التماثيل التي أنتم لها عاكفون، ودون كلّ أحد سواه شاهد من الشاهدين، يقول: فإياه فاعبدوا لا هذه التماثيل التي هي خلقه التي لا تضرّ ولا تنفع.
