They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"

(قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ) He says: his father and his people said to him: have you come to us with the truth in what you say, (أَمْ أَنْتَ) or are you a jester, one playing, (مِنَ اللاعِبِينَ) belonging to the jesters?
