And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide [them].

The exposition of the exegesis of the word of Allah the Exalted: فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِيَهُمْ مِنَ الْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ (verse 78)
Allah, exalted be His remembrance, says: Moses set out by night with the Children of Israel — after We had inspired him that he should set out with them — whereupon Pharaoh followed after them with his hosts after they had crossed the sea. Pharaoh and his hosts were overwhelmed in the sea by that which overwhelmed them, and they all drowned together.
