No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively.

Allah, exalted be His remembrance, means by His word كَلَّا ("By no means"): it is by no means so. He has not acquired any knowledge of the unseen (ghayb), such that he would know that his claim contains truth and that his saying is reality — nor has he made any covenant with the All-Merciful by believing in Allah and His Messenger and by acting in obedience to Him. On the contrary: he has lied, and he is a disbeliever (kāfir).
Then Allah, the Exalted, says: سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ ("We shall record what he says") — that is to say: We shall record what this disbeliever (kāfir) says concerning his Lord — this one who claims: "In the Hereafter I shall be granted wealth and offspring." وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّا ("And We shall prolong for him the punishment, ever further") — that is to say: We shall increase his punishment in Hell (jahannam) on account of his lying and false utterances in the worldly life — as an addition to the punishment that already accrues to him for his disbelief (kufr) in Allah.
