The Exalted says: these evil successors whose characteristics He has described will be afflicted by ghayy (error and ruin) — except those who repented and turned to the cause of Allah, and to belief in Him and in His Messenger. وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا (and performed righteous deeds): He says: and obeyed Allah in what He commanded them and forbade them, fulfilled His obligations and avoided His prohibitions — those who before that had died in their unbelief, had neglected the prayer, and had followed their desires. And His word وَلا يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا (and they will not be wronged in anything): He says: nothing of the reward for their deeds will be withheld from them, and they will not be placed together with those in hell (jahannam) who, before their repentance from error and before their return to obedience to their Lord, had perished among the evil successors. They, rather, will enter in the manner in which the believers enter.
