Allah, may His remembrance be exalted, says: Say, O Muḥammad, to those who said to you "we will not believe you until you cause a spring to gush forth for us from our ground": كَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ — for He is the best witness and judge. إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا — that is to say: Allah possesses knowledge and awareness of His servants, their affairs and their deeds, who among them is in the right and who is in the wrong, who is guided and who has gone astray. بَصِيرًا — in governing and guiding them, in their circumstances, and in disposing of them as He wills and chooses and loves; nothing of their affairs is hidden from Him, and He will requite them all for what they have sent forward when they appear before Him.
