But the shriek seized them at early morning.

His statement فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ — He says: The cry of destruction overtook them as they entered the morning of the fourth day after the day on which the punishment had been announced to them — and it had been said to them: "Enjoy yourselves in your dwelling for three more days."
