Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

His statement: فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الأكْبَرَ ("then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment"): that is the punishment of Hell (jahannam). He says: then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment (al-ʿadhāb al-akbar) for his unbelief (kufr) in the worldly life, and with the punishment of Hell (jahannam) in the Hereafter.
