Tafseer of The Morning Star · At-Taariq · 86:10
Then man will have no power or any helper.

His saying: فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَلا نَاصِرٍ ("then he has no strength and no helper"). The Exalted, whose mention is exalted, says: then the disbelieving man (al-insān al-kāfir) on that day has no strength by which he can guard himself against the punishment of Allāh (ʿadhāb Allāh) and His painful chastisement, and no helper to help him and rescue him from the hand of whoever strikes him with something dreadful. For in the worldly life he could fall back upon the strength of his tribe, by which he protected himself against whoever wished to do him harm, and upon a helper among his allies, who stood by him against whoever wronged him and oppressed him.
And in the spirit of what we have said about this spoke also the people of interpretation (ahl al-taʾwīl).

Bishr related to us, saying: Yazīd related to us, saying: Saʿīd related to us, on the authority of Qatāda, concerning His saying: فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَلا نَاصِرٍ ("then he has no strength and no helper"): who helps him against Allāh.
Ibn ʿAbd al-Aʿlā related to us, saying: Ibn Thawr related to us, on the authority of Maʿmar, from Qatāda, concerning His saying: وَلا نَاصِرٍ ("and no helper"), he said: no strength by which he can guard himself, and no helper to help him against Allāh.
ʿAlī ibn Sahl related to me, saying: Ḍamra ibn Rabīʿa related to us, on the authority of Sufyān al-Thawrī, concerning His saying: مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَلا نَاصِرٍ ("strength and no helper"), he said: the strength is the tribe, and the helper is the ally.
